Project Overview
As part of ongoing campus improvements, the University of Huddersfield invested in new academic and support facilities to enhance its learning environment. Fire safety was a top priority in this expansion, ensuring that students and staff are protected across the university’s infrastructure.
Our Role
Northern Sealants was brought in to install passive fire protection systems within these new-build areas. Our team worked across multiple levels of the development to ensure complete fire compartmentation and regulatory compliance.
Key Measures
- Sealing of service penetrations with certified fire-stopping compounds.
- Installation of cavity barriers within ceilings, floors, and wall junctions.
- Close liaison with M&E teams to coordinate access and sequencing.
Project Outcome
Northern Sealants contributed to the safe and successful handover of this multi-purpose facility. The completed fire protection measures will help the university maintain a safe and operational campus for years to come.
